Now, it is time to talk about synchronous learning and its deployment in education within the course of the last decades and its current implications and features in our educational environments.

I (Jesus) consider it is highly essential to get into this new approach to technology in education, especially as it has gained importance over the last few decades. Notwithstanding, I think the real importance of addressing this interactive approach to education resides in the fact that it has transformed how educators, students and other educational agents connect and collaborate among them. Hence, this aforementioned deployment has impacted the dynamics of education, providing plenty of advantages that deserve to be known by us and by all the readers of this blog. Understanding its current implications and features is vital for fostering and enhancing learning objectives and outcomes in the future planning that we will develop. Consequently, as teachers of the 21st century, we need to be related with the huge quantity of tools and programs that could help us to expand the education in Colombia towards new paths that have been unknown and disregarded by many teachers in the country. It is time to recognize and deepen in those methods that have been mainly used after the 2020 in Colombia.

Synchronous learning offers a dynamic space for real-time interaction while fostering immediate communication and collaborative learning. As a teacher in training (Valentina), I appreciate how it encourages active participation and strengthens the sense of community among students. On the other hand, I also recognize the challenges it can pose, particularly in contexts where access to technology or rigid scheduling might hinder student engagement. While it can enhance the learning experience through live discussions and instant feedback, it’s essential to be mindful of the diverse needs of students, so the thing is to find  a thoughtful balance that ensures inclusivity and flexibility for all learners who can thrive in their own learning journeys.

This kind of learning helps students who can't focus in a task without teacher's help or guide. Nowadays, the synchronous learning helps people to have education access anywhere, even if a person is in Colombia, could learn in others parts of the world. However, this kind of learning has some limitations, because not everyone can access to internet to have a class, as we saw during the pandemic, many children had to stop studying due to the lack of technology resources that the family and the government could provide.
