Following the path that as future teachers we need to consider, this evaluation takes into account the previous knowledge that students acquired in the designed worksheet in order to assess their processes facing the games topic. Consequently, this evaluation continues promoting active learning and language development in an interactive and contextualized way.
In our perspecive, this worksheet builds on the foundational knowledge students acquired from the worksheet while reinforcing the interactive and contextualized learning introduced through the games topic. In this frame, by assessing their understanding in a way that remains engaging and relevant, it sustains active learning and supports language development. This exercise not only measures comprehension but also encourages students to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.
As teachers, this approach reminds us of the importance of aligning evaluation methods with the learning activities we design. It is essential to assess not just outcomes but processes because we need to ensure that evaluations are not mere tests of memory but tools that reflect students' ongoing development. In the context of Colombian classrooms, where resources may be limited, this kind of adaptable and creative evaluation is particularly valuable; it allows us to foster deeper learning even when faced with constraints.
Evaluating what has been taught is essential to ensure that students understand and comprehend important concepts in order to apply them effectively out of the class. Consequently, take into account the material we designed is highly important due to this process allowing us to identify learning gaps, modify methodologies, or reinforce a specific skill or topic during our classes. Nonetheless, we tend to forget to evaluate grammar aspects, but they are important for the development of their learning process of the foreign language. Proper grammar helps students articulate their ideas precisely, enhances readability, and strengthens their academic writing skills.
